Work-Based Learning
Apprenticeships, internships, and job shadows are increasingly important for high school students.
Work-based learning gives students the tools needed to make informed decisions about their career paths and gain valuable experience that sets them apart when applying for jobs or colleges. These programs also provide employers with a pipeline of skilled workers, helping to fill the employment gap many industries are currently facing strengthening local economies.
Our partners are essential to the success of the Collaborative in engaging students authentically through site and classroom visits, pathway events, job shadowing and internships.
By interacting and working with professionals who are experts in their fields, students are inspired to embark on their own journey to a fulfilling career with a livable wage.
When industry partners connect with students, they gain access to a talent pipeline of motivated individuals ready to work and contribute to our regional industries, supporting our economic resilience.
Please consider partnering with us by: serving on advisory boards, hosting interns and job shadows, providing hands-on experiences at our pathway events, or visiting classrooms to expose students to careers they may not have previously considered.
